BEIKS releases Hebrew and Greek bi-directional dictionaries for BlackBerry smart phones

DALLAS (June 24, 2011) - - BEIKS LLC, the world leader in language and reference applications for mobile devices, announces the immediate availability of bi-directional English <-> Greek and English <-> Hebrew dictionaries for BlackBerry® smart phones, and a major update of the English to Greek dictionary with over 5,000 English words.

Both dictionaries are based on the popular BEIKS Dictionary Reader for BlackBerry, the foundation of the BEIKS' dictionary and reference line of applications.

Powering a large set of language, professional, Christian, medical, scientific and other dictionaries and references, BEIKS Dictionary Reader was among the first reference applications made available on the BlackBerry platform back in 2002 and certainly the first completely offline multi-language dictionary for BlackBerry.

Today, hundreds of thousands of users in over 90 countries make daily use of the application, making it possibly the most popular BlackBerry offline reference application in the world.

The dictionaries have their own soft keyboards integrated in BEIKS dictionary reader allowing users to easily type Greek and Hebrew characters. Hebrew fonts are required for the Hebrew dictionary!

Trial versions of the dictionaries can be downloaded for free (10 days trial period) OTA from, or installed through a desktop computer either to the internal memory, or to a media card from

All BEIKS dictionaries for BlackBerry are still completely offline and therefore available anytime, anywhere, without the need of wireless coverage, except possibly (but not necessarily!) when the application is first installed.

Registered users of the English-Hebrew and English-Greek dictionaries can upgrade to the bi-directional versions at discounted price in their accounts at

All BEIKS offerings are one-time license payments and not subscriptions. Occasional upgrade charges for application upgrades may happen, but those have been extremely rare and always optional.

Like most of its predecessors, the update of the English to Greek dictionary comes at no additional cost to all current customers on file.

To download the update registered users can simply go to the according product page in the BlackBerry section at the BEIKS website, or log-in to the customers area of the site at
