BEIKS updates LexSpell spelling checker for BlackBerry, introduces new feature
DALLAS (January 19, 2008) -- BEIKS LLC, the world leader in language, reference and
entertainment applications for mobile users,
announces upgrade to its popular LexSpell spelling checker for BlackBerry
of the late arrivals on the BlackBerry proofing tools scene, LexSpell was the
first free spelling checker for BlackBerry handhelds operating in offline mode
and not requiring the use of Internet connection.
The new version 2.1
is a service upgrade replacing the outdated version 2.0, which has expired for
non-registered users at the end of the calendar year 2007.
It also brings
a demanded new feature by the application users - automatic proof to
outgoing email messages. This feature is only made
available to registered LexSpell users via a checkbox in its Integration Options
menu. This checkbox - and the new functionality - will only appear after the
application is registered.
The functionality is also
available to all enterprise users.
specific of the new release is the requirement of BlackBerry Handheld System
version 4.2 and higher, whereas the old version required version 4.0.

downloading the latest LexSpell from there.
